Video Feedback Log

Privacy policy

Privacy policy for Video Feedback Log

Applies to the Android app Video Feedback Log, version 1.0.0, and to this website (videofeedbacklog.space). Last updated 18 October 2026.

In short

What the app stores on your phone

Projects (title, client, tags, frame rate, delivery date), cuts (number, name, date, running time, approval status, what changed), review notes (timecodes, note text, the name of the person who gave the note as you type it, category, priority, status, your reply), your own templates, your settings (your name if you enter it, default frame rate, timecode display) and a list of recently used reviewer names. This data is kept in the app's private storage on the device. We cannot see it.

Reference stills

You can attach an image to a note. It is chosen in the Android system photo picker; the app gets access only to the image you pick, needs no permission to read your photos and cannot see the rest of your gallery. A copy of the chosen image is stored in the app's private folder. Stills are not included in exports or backups.

Names of other people

When you write who gave a note (for example “Priya, client”), that name is stored on your phone together with the note and appears in the exports you create. Only enter what you need to identify feedback.

Exports and backups

The app creates PDF, CSV, text and JSON backup files on your phone. They are passed to the Android share sheet or saved into a folder you choose in the system folder picker. Where they go next – an e-mail, a messaging app, cloud storage – is decided by you and handled by the app you choose, under that app's own privacy terms. Restoring a backup reads only the file you pick in the system document picker.

Permissions

The app requests no runtime permissions: no camera, microphone, location, contacts, photos or storage permission, no notifications and no internet access. It sends no notifications.

Data we collect

None. The app contains no analytics, crash reporting, advertising or other third-party SDKs that send data, and we operate no server for it. We therefore do not collect, sell or share any personal data from the app.

Keeping and deleting your data

Your data stays on your phone until you delete it: single notes, cuts and projects in the app, everything under More → Data and backup → Delete all data, or by uninstalling the app, which removes all its data including stills. Backup files you have saved elsewhere are not affected; delete them yourself if you no longer need them.

This website

This website uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party scripts; fonts and images are served from this site. As with every website, the server processes technical data such as your IP address in order to deliver the pages and may keep it briefly in server logs for security and troubleshooting.

Children

Video Feedback Log is a professional tool for video editing work and is not directed at children.

Your rights and contact

Because the app does not send us any data, we hold no personal data about you from the app. Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you have rights of access, rectification, erasure and objection; for any question or request about privacy write to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

If the app changes in a way that affects your data, this policy will be updated before that version is released, with a new date at the top.
